When my Logitech fun mouse began acting weirdly, I was again on the lookout for a nice mouse compact and with easy usability. When my friend suggested a wireless I was skeptical first because of battery life of a mouse but ultimately warmed to the idea and searched for a good deal and landed up with Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 Special Edition. I got a chocolate color edition for 17$ (around 850 Rs).

mouseThe package itself comes with a mouse, the receiver , 1 AA battery and manual. The AAA battery can be put inside the mouse by pressing a button at the back side and the receiver can be locked in at the bottom of the mouse which in turn switches off the battery to conserve battery life.

I just plugged in the receiver and my Ideapad automatically detected and installed the drivers and I was ready to go. Movement was nice and easy on my table and the left click was soft and right click was sharp. The mouse worked from almost a distance of 3-4 feet. Its size makes it easy to hold and compact to fit inside a laptop bag without hogging too much space.

Its been two weeks so can’t report on the battery life yet but seems a good buy so far.
